Peace Breaks Out

In some ways it is not surprising that the Nobel committee picked Obama. His causes of

1) fighting global warming (Al Gore and IPCC, 2007)
2) nuclear arms reduction (Linus Pauling, 1962)
3) end torture (Amnesty International, 1977)
4) economic parity (Muhammod Yunus and Grameen Bank, 2006)
5) international diplomacy (Woodrow Wilson, 1919, and about 50% of all other prize recipients)

Are all things the Nobel committee care deeply about.

As for the rightwing concern trolling about how the "right thing" for Obama to do is to refuse the prize, you know who else refused the Peace Prize? Lê Ðức Thọ of Northern Vietnam.

The odds that these same concern-trolling rightwing pundits turning around and compare Obama to Vietcongs had he refused the prize is, oh, I don't know, 100%.
