I hereby call for a submission of similes and metaphors for use during dragonboat practices that would enhance Leon's own portfolio of similes and metaphors.
As you all know, Leon's coaching rhetorics involves a heavy dose of metaphors. For example, races on Saturdays are "appetizers", while races on Sundays are "main courses". I think it would be nice if we were to contribute to this literary endeavor.
So to start off, here are my similes and metaphors:
"So you're saying Leon, that we should be like hydrogen ions and stay positive about our race results, right?"
"We should not be complacent; some of these newer teams may challenge us the way an upstart Roman navy took down the vaunted Carthaginian maritime might. Someone just might come up with their version of a corvus that would negate our race starts."
